Capacity Development Training on GESI & VAW/G.
Mahila Janachetana Kendra organized a two-day Capacity Development Training on Gender, Social Inclusion, GESI Mainstreaming, and Violence Against Women & Girls (VAW/G) for its board and staff on 6–7 November 2025 in Jhapa. A total of 13 participants, including 7 board members and 6 staff, attended the training. The sessions focused on understanding the concepts of Gender and GESI, exploring the context of VAW/G in Nepal, and applying the GESI lens in organizational activities and projects. Participants discussed existing laws, shared experiences, and identified seven priority areas for action. The training helped develop a common understanding among the team and emphasized the importance of mainstreaming GESI, not just promoting social inclusion. Following this, MJK will review its policies and programs to further integrate GESI principles into all organizational and project-level work.
