Street Drama “Sapana Dekhne Aankha- Eye that dream” Conducted.
Under the project “Preventing and responding to Child Marriage and Early Union” implemented by Mahila Janachetana Kendra (MJK), a Street drama titled “Sapana Dekhne Aankha” (Eyes That Dream) was successfully conducted in three local levels of Jhapa District — Kachankawal Rural Municipality, Barhadashi Rural Municipality, and Mechinagar Municipality.
As part of the program:
The drama was performed at Dangibari Bazaar, Barhadashi Rural Municipality at 12:00 PM,
At Hukahuki Chowk, Kachankawal Rural Municipality at 2:00 PM, and
The final performance was held at Shree Radhakrishna Temple, Madanbasti, Mechinagar–7 on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM (Asoj 31).
The main objective of this drama was to raise awareness about the impacts of child marriage and early unions, sensitize parents, children, and community members, and encourage positive behavioral change towards ending such harmful practices.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from local representatives, community leaders, women, youth, and members of child clubs.
