First Day of the 16-Day Campaign against gender based violence at Mechinagar, Kachankawal and Barhadashi.

The first day of the 16-Day Campaign Against Gender-Based Violence was successfully conducted by Mahila Janachetana Kendra from 25 November 2025 (2082 Mangsir 9). The campaign started with a morning rally (Prabhatferi) in Mechinagar, Kachankawal, and Barhadashi, bringing together students, teachers, and adolescent groups to raise awareness and promote active community engagement against gender-based violence.

In Kachankawal, the event was organized in collaboration with the Fulbari kisori Samuha and Janaki Secondary School, with teachers and students actively participating. In Barhadashi, the Pathivara Kishori Samuha and Gaurisankar Secondary School joined hands with the organizers, engaging the entire school community in the rally. The activities highlighted the importance of using technology responsibly, understanding the impact of gender-based violence, and fostering a culture of equality and safety.

This first-day event set a strong tone for the rest of the campaign, emphasizing the role of youth and communities in creating awareness, preventing violence, and promoting gender-sensitive behavior in daily life.
