Discussion on Legal Provisions with Parents Conducted in Kachankawal, Barhadashi, and Mechinagar.

As part of our ongoing initiative to prevent child marriage and promote child rights, we organized interactive discussions with parents in Kachankawal, Barhadashi, and Mechinagar. These events were conducted with the support of a legal expert, who facilitated engaging sessions to raise awareness about the legal provisions related to child marriage and child rights in Nepal.
Each discussion was attended by 30 parents from the respective areas, representing a strong commitment from the community. The sessions aimed to inform parents about the legal consequences of child marriage, the importance of upholding children’s rights, and the role of parents in creating a safe and supportive environment for children and adolescents.
The lawyer led the program in an interactive manner, encouraging open dialogue, questions, and reflections from participants. Parents actively engaged in the discussions, gaining valuable insights into the legal frameworks designed to protect children from early marriage, abuse, and neglect.
These awareness sessions are an important step in empowering parents with knowledge, challenging harmful social norms, and fostering community-based action to protect and uphold child rights.
