Mahila Janchetana Kendra recently concluded a 7-day training program on making reusable pads, with financial support from Tewa and technical assistance from Freedom Kit Bags. The event was graced by the presence of Mechinagar Municipality Deputy Mayor Meena Pokhrel Uprety, Ward 4 President Arjun Kumar Karki, and Ward 7 President Pralad Mani Oli distributing certificates to the trainees. Eighteen participants took part in the training: 7 from Kachankawal, Jhapa; 3 from Barhadashi, Jhapa; and 8 from Mechinagar. Throughout the week, participants showed great enthusiasm while learning from facilitators Nirmala Shrestha and Samjhana Danuwar from Freedom Kit Bags.
