MJK recently conducted an awareness session in Mechinagar Municipality to introduce our organization and donor, GFF, to local representatives, including the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Ward Presidents, and key officials. The session focused on the legal aspects of child marriage, its prevalence in the region, and strategies for prevention. Participants gained valuable insights into the laws surrounding child marriage and the associated penalties. The Deputy Mayor expressed interest in collaborating with MJK on this issue, and Ward Presidents committed to taking a more active role in combating child marriage in their respective areas.
