We recently held an awareness session at Dhulabari Secondary School, Mechinagar-10, to educate students about child rights and child marriage. The session began with introductions and an overview of our organization. We clarified misconceptions about the legal marriage age for girls and boys and discussed the adverse effects of child marriage on education, health, and personal development. Students learned that early marriage can lead to health issues, hinder educational opportunities, and impose premature family responsibilities. After the orientation, we distributed sports equipment to the child club and provided guidance on its proper use and storage. The session successfully raised awareness about child marriage and rights, informed students about good touch and bad touch, and underscored their responsibilities. However, managing the large number of students proved challenging, impacting the session’s effectiveness.
