Drama Against Child Marriage: “Age to Dream, Not to Marry”
The drama titled “Sapana Sringarne Umer” (The Age to Dream, Not to Marry) was successfully staged in collaboration with Pariwartan Theater. The first performance took place on December 1st at Dhulabari Secondary School in Mechinagar Municipality, captivating the audience with its powerful message against child marriage.
Following this, the drama was performed on December 2nd at two additional venues: Janaki Secondary School in Kachankawal Rural Municipality and Gaurishankar Secondary School in Bahradashi Rural Municipality.
Each performance drew significant attention from students, teachers, and community members, highlighting the importance of addressing the societal issue of child marriage. Through engaging storytelling and impactful dialogue, the drama shed light on the dreams and aspirations of young individuals, emphasizing the need to nurture their potential rather than impose early marriage. The collaborative efforts of the Mahila Janachetana Kendra and Pariwartan Theater made these events not only informative but also emotionally resonant, leaving a lasting impression on the attendees.
