Mahila janachetana kendra conducted a one-day discussion program with health volunteers in Mechinagar Municipality, Barhadashi Rural Municipality, and Kachankawal Rural Municipality on child marriage and the it’s role of health volunteers.
The main focus of the program was the prevention of child marriage and the role that health volunteers can play in its reduction.
During the program, the health volunteers shared their experiences in raising awareness in the community to prevent child marriage, identifying children at risk, and coordinating with families and the community.
The program was facilitated by Radha Pradhan the Executive Director of the Mahila Janachetana Kendra & The Chairperson of the organization, Sita Gurung, also shared her thoughts and ideas.
